Anybody still needing to know how to use Twitter has either just returned from the moon, or has been in a state of suspended animation for a number of years. However, to be serious, Twitter is easy to use for its intended purpose, but people that want to know how to use it possible want to find out its hidden uses.
Perhaps 'hidden' is the wrong word, but Twitter can be manipulated to get you the followers that you want. In essence, you can follow anybody on Twitter, but nobody has to follow you. However, one way to get somebody to follow you is first to follow them, then ask them to follow you. Once they have agreed, simple stop following them and you have one more follower, chosen specially by you.
That's the easiest way, but not one that I use because I know better ways that don't cheat the person that follows you. If you are involved in internet marketing and list building, you will know what I mean when I tell you that you can build a 'list' of Twitter followers. You can attract them to a squeeze page, only instead of asking them to fill in a form to join your list, give them a button to click to follow you on Twitter.
If you want know how to use Twitter to make money, that is your first step. You know that your followers are interested in what you have to offer, because they just visited your website using a keyword related to your website or product. Now, instead of bombarding them with emails and being accused of spamming you simply tweet, and now again make a mention of your product.
Not every tweet, but if you tweet, say, five or six times a day, mention it once. That's every day everybody in your list is being exposed to your product, and you don't even have to rely on them opening an email. They will see your message when they use Tweeter.
That's how to use Tweeter to make money the easy way. However, there are a lot more ways better than that, but this article is too short to tell you about them. It's enough simply to say that Tweeter is the current communication phenomenon, but it won't last forever. It will go the same way as I.M. and something else will come along to take over and we will all have to learn how to use that.
Meantime, it is Twitter and if you know how to use Twitter to your advantage then you are all set to do with it as you wish. It's simply a matter of expanding on what you have learned here and applying it to your online business.
